    Why would this happen?

My IP address according to MySQL & ipconfig has clearly been 192.xxx.x.2 for some time now

Woke up this morning to find I couldn't access my website...So i checked my IP address again and it's changed to 192.xxx.x.3

Any idea what would cause this?

The only IP checking software I have is synchronising software from DynDNS and that on Synchronises my router IP with my host address.

whats the range for PC IP's router should 192.168.x.1 but if it got confused and used two it would bump pc to 192.168.x.3. Im assuming you have strong UID and pword in router and that John is not joshing you.<g>

The router WEP key is fairly opscure so no-one would be connecting & changing anything. The thing is it's my PC address that's changing, but as there's 2 laptops connecting to the router the IP's could have been conflicting. How can I go about assigning 1 IP address in particular to my PC? 1 that would not change due to what I set it at

Set it in the TCPIPV4 settings in your adaptor properties - but don't forgaet to set your routers DHCP to start issuing numbers at least one above the address you set.

I would suggest setting the bottom IP on the router list to 192.168.1.10 which will give you a few to play with for fixed ip

Oh and I would suggest WPA2 rather that WEP as WEP is not that secure anymore

What is the model of your router?
It may have a static routing table lik mine does. The dhcp server in the router links the mac address to the ip and wont give it to anyone else.
