I like the windows 7 feature that you can chose whether you're in a home, work or public network. What I don't understand is why they have grouped home and work together in the "advanced sharing options"!
I use my laptop at home and for work, and obviously I would like to share some private folders at home, but not with my colleagues at work. Is there a way to do that automatically? I don't necessarily need to share anything at work (though it would be nice to share certain folders with the whole work network, and additional ones only with the whole home network). I believe there is the option of creating a homegroup and a workgroup, but there are Windows XP computers in both networks, and I understand that it is not compatible.
I searched the internet for a long time, but did't find ananswer to my question (maybe I used the wrong keywords)
