Can connect to the network, Unstable internet connection

Hi, I'm having problems with my internet connection. I can connect to the internet, but it seems to disconnect every second or so. I first thought the network adapter drivers were corrupted, but even after reinstalling it didnt help at all.

I forgot to add this, if I run the cable to my wireless router instead of to the modem directly, the internet works properly, although a bit on the laggy side.

I don't see any real problems with the ipconfig.

Are you using a regular modem for this, as in not a modem/router combo which is then plugged into another router?

I know it's not a hardware issue as it does work through a router before the modem, but how do I error search for the problem?

Just to confirm that you have the modem first which is plugged into the routers WAN port?

The ipconfig says you should be online so I suspect that something on your system is blocking the connection, like some type of A/V software or a third party firewall.

Is there any way to find out what is blocking the connection?
Also, my curse client is telling me there is a corrupted file in microsoft .net framework 3.5.1 and no matter what I try to do it doesnt let me reinstall it, what do I do?
