Changing to static or dynamic IP depending on connected WIFI network

    Hi,

I would like to change my IP address between static and dynamic depending on which WIFI network I'm connected to. I.e. at home I would like a consistent IP address (static) for network file sharing but my University requires dynamic assignment to connect. Is it possible to (automatically) change between dynamic and static depending on the network?

I know how to do this manually, but I was hoping there was a more automated method. Even if there was some sort of batch file I could run when I changed networks?

    Thanks in advance

At your house you could setup a dhcp reservation on your router for your laptop.
