i used xirrus to test my connection and the results were...
    DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 172.24.8.1

    DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.3.3
    41.204.164.3
    41.89.4.3

Do other clients have same dhcp server and dns server? Post output of IPCONFIG/ALL created on a good working machine.

172.24.8.1 is ip address of router?
    What the hack is 192.168.3.3?
yes i checked a friend's laptop and it's the same

Thanks for your posting, I looked at all the gaming social networks on IOS – basically OpenFeint and its competitors – and found catastrophic mismanagement by nearly everyone. The vulnerabilities ranged from de-anonymization, to takeover of the user’s gaming social network account, to the ability to completely take over the user’s Facebook and Twitter accounts using just a UDID.

Ping 192.168.3.3 worked, sent 4, received 4, lost 0 but ping 41.204.164.3 sent 4 received 0, lost 4, i tried google dns but it failed the first test of xirrus( dns unreachable). I also set it to "obtain automatically" but to no avail. 192.168.3.3 is one of the network's dns servers

Is it hardcoded in your settings?

Please post ipconfig/all output of a good working pc connected to same router
