Gigabit Network Between Windows 7 Laptops Not Working
Well me and a group of my friends have just started a college course in ict and as you can imagine we all bring our laptops/netbooks.
Anyway me and my friend are both running windows 7 (he has 7 Starter 32Bit on a netbook, I have 7 Home Premium 64Bit on a laptop) and we cant seem to link our computers via a wired network to have LAN games and our college network doesnt interface between computers very well.
We dont want to use ad hoc mode due to our college having wifi for students and us needing internet access, every time we link them it comes up as unrecognized and keeps saying identifying network on the Network and Sharing Center, we cant understand why they wont link, we both have our computers on the HomeGroup so it should work and our computers can run 2 connections at one time one via wifi and one via LAN (as most 7 computers can.)
Does anyone have any idea's why this is happening because we sure dont :S.
If anyone has any remedies for this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
