Wireless not working after windows update? New laptop

    Hi all,

I have had this laptop, this problem has occured twice. Hopefully someone can help!

I did a factory reset to resolve this issue which only worked for one night.

Basically after factory reset last night all was well, wifi connecting fine, played games on it till 1am this morning. Upon loading up my computer this morning after waking up this wireless is connected but wont respond or load web pages.

It works whilst wired, (am using it now plugged in) the only thing i can think which is doing this is the windows updates when i shut down the computer, this happened the first time i got it out of the box too.

I can use samsung recovery software to reinstall the windows software but keep everything else on the computer. This works for a while but soon after windows updates the wireless stops working again. This morning though instead of doing a restore i have installed the drivers for the wireless from intel, downloaded more windows updates to try to solve but nothing has worked.

Please would someone shed some light on this for me?

Let me know if you need any information? I have the laptop specs in my profile.

    Thank you

You should just uninstall the Windows update that's causing the problem and then right click that update and choose to hide the update.

As for the wireless connection problem, try going into Device Manager and disable the two Microsoft Virtual WiFi miniport adaptors.

After that save and run the file below, your machine will reboot automatically, this will fix any problems related to the network stack or winsock.

Wireless doesn't work after latest Windows update and fix below

    Hi all
The thread above seemed not to have resolved my problem, I looked in the troubleshooting log and it said that my WiFi wasn't enabled period, to turn on the switch on the keyboard or side of the notebook and to my EXTREME EMBARRASSMENT that was my issue. So maybe there wasn't a problem with the updates in the first place. But I thank you for the excellent info. I'm back online. Yeay.

    Thanks

Hum well for my two cents worth I found that it is best to download updates in small batches rather than a heap at once if the problem occurs then it is just a matter of restoring back to prior the last update. .
