No this file is a zip folder with the needed drivers to install your Ethernet controller. Once we install that, we will use an Ethernet cable to connect to the web. From there we will resolve the missing drivers. And hopefully get your wireless driver, and the chipset driver up.

Ok well, your not able to connect to the web because your missing drivers for your hardware. Which are the ones with yellow explanation marks under device manager. We are trying to get the drivers to make the ethernet controller work. In this case it is missing, so we are trying to install it. This will allow you to use your cable from your router to install the other missing drivers, which can cause various problems. This is one of the reasons you cannot connect wirelessly.
Follow these steps :
1. Download this https://www.dropbox.com/s/hgm4gr58dqnynur/IA32.zip onto a working computer, then move it to your flash drive.
2.move the file from the flash drive to the messed up laptop
3.Then open the folder and press extract all files and ok.
4. You should see a new folder pop up (the new folder from the extraction in step 3.)
5.Run the Setup.exe file and finish the install.
6.Once it finishes connect your computer to the router with the cable, and then run windows update.

This fixed your wired connection, connect it with the cable on the router and then run windows update. Install any new drivers it finds, the rest can be found here Gateway Support - Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook / NE Series / NE56R
Once you finish installing the new drivers, it should fix your wireless connection.
