    Network card problems... please help

    Hello!
I previously used win XP pro and my internetconnection worked perfectly.
After installing windows 7 PRO x86 i cannot connect to the internet.
when windows tries do diagnose the problem it just says "check cables" but the cables are in mint condition!

I have checked that SSL and TLS protocols are enabled as windows advised me.

I have tried to move the networkcard to another PCI bus but still not working.

I have also tried to disable the component and then Enabled it again

    i use a Realtek RTL8168B/8111B Family PCI-E Ethernet NIC.

under "devices" in the control panel it says the component is working, but apparantly it's not.

Can someone please help me out here? thanks / Dennis

Assuming you can see your local lan but not the internet:

Try opening a command prompt, and type "ipconfig". Look out for an entry of 0.0.0.0 in the Gateway list.

Dennis this forum is littered with problems with Realtek NIC's. I think Realtek need to address this & come up with drivers that work.
