    Internet drops after Windows re-installation

So normally I re install windows every so often to make sure I am always clear of viruses and stuff like that. Or I just do a bad job of keeping my files organized. Well I re-installed windows on my laptop for the first time(well on this laptop).

For some reason my Wi-Fi keeps dropping every so often and isn't able to detect my router. Which is weird because it never did this till I re-installed. Yes, I have the correct drivers and updated ones at that. So I am not sure.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Something could have gone wrong or gotten corrupted during the re-install. Try running scf /scannow from a command prompt to correct any system file corruptions.

Did you check for any interferences? Also, try setting the channels manually on the wireless setting of your Router and see if the connectivity improves.

I was experiencing something like this the other day on my laptop. What I did was go into the router change channel to 11 and the mode to g&b.

Other things to try: reboot router, reset router to factory defaults (make sure you have your username / password if needed)

    Hope this helps
