New laptops wireless inexplicably slow, everyother computer runs fine.

I purchased a new laptop, and have been having numerous issues with windows 7, including the wireless internet being insanely slow. I've tried other wireless adapters to no avail, and every other computer in the house, be it wireless, or not runs perfectly, with the speed tests all running about the same, while this laptop runs at about 1/4 of the speed. I can only assume it's some sort windows settings, and not anything to do with the ISP or the router because of such.

I don't know what info dumps are needed, but I will try and provide any info I can if necessary.

To add, and I don't know if this will be of any use, but while doing regular browsing, the speeds are fine, you can't really notice a slowdown. But when viewing videos or downloads, it tanks. I've noticed my download speeds start out, and stay at their max speed (about 1.1MBps) for say 5 seconds, only to sink to about 250-300KBps for the remainder.

I've actually removed pretty much all bloatware, and specs are:

    i7-3610QM
    8GB DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M
    750GB HDD
    10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN
    802.11b/g/n Wireless Networking

Nothing really else more specific about it. Sound card is realtek, MOBO I believe is intel, but not 100% sure.

Also when I say new, I mean about a week old, not like fresh out of the box new.
