Internet Connection Dropping- Default Gateway not Available

My internet connection keeps dropping, when I run the diagnostics it comes back showing the problem as the "default gateway is not available" and showing it being fixed, but then it will happen again a few minutes later. I have been Googling the issues in hopes of finding a solution but nothing I have tried from what I've found has worked. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L645 and I'm using a wireless connection to a Motorola SBG6580, this is the first time I've had this particular issue since purchasing the computer almost 2 years ago.

Sounds like a router/modem issue to me.
Have you power cycled it lately?
Do you have a modem plugged into that motorola or is it a combo unit?

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

In addition, can you please Download, Install and Run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector so that we can see a signal issue or interference.
To run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector, double click the Xirrus icon on your Desktop, you may use the Windows 7 snipping tool to crop or Paint by tapping the Print screen key on your keyboard, open up Paint (Click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint) then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then save it and please attach the file on your next post.
