Help to keep photos and catalog synced using cloud storage service

I am a new user and would appreciate some advice.
1. I apologize if this is not directly relevant to the post but thought you should know why I think I need to change the Users folder name. I am running a photo catalog program on two laptops linked via WiFi and want to keep the photos and catalog synced using a cloud storage service. There is a folder in the cloud with all the photo files and catalog which is accessed by both laptops. Unfortunately I have to keep "reconnecting" the photo files in the catalog when changes are made. I think that the reason is that on one laptop the cloud folder path is C:\Users\mm\Cloud and on the other it is C:\Users\John\Cloud. I think that the these paths need to be identical for sync to work correctly. I will change the users folder name from John to mm and think that your excellently clear and detailed tutorial will do that job.
2. I see that there are many messages about the tutorial and I am not sure if the tutorial includes any changes brought up by the comments which have been made. Please confirm if I have to just work through the tutorial step by step.
