Connection error after fixing unwanted dial-up
Hello there. A month ago I had a nasty infection in my computer, now it's clean but sometimes some programs would try to connect to the Internet via a dial-up connection. After 1 to 5 attempts, they used the right connection and worked fine.
I fixed this by going to internet options>connections, and marking "Never make a connection". But then those very same applications, namely Steam, Adobe updater and feedreader started to crash, but eventually worked just fine.
Does anyone know why does this happen and how to fix it? I'm using Windows 7 64-bit Professional, in case you need to know.
Thanks for your time!
