was fine and then it wasnt

ok all other systems are xp, other than mums system which is vista.

ok, did the networkign which went fine.

but then all of a sudden after a reboot (no adjustments here)

all systems were not showing in the group but the windows 7.

and all systems have no issues gettign into the system

the systems are not passworded

so even after re doing the networking, i still cant get the other system becomed seen in the group.

Hi and welcome to seven forums

We kinda need more info from you on the network cards, and network setup. Have you tried rebooting the router then the pc's?

When you get a chance could you fill in the systems specs (in the lower left corners of your posts) so that we know what kind of hardware you have

Again welcome

Ken

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 x2 + x86 + Windows 8.1 x64 x2

Things to check for classic Networking Access on Windows 7

All systems on same Subnet
All members of same workgroup
Identical users on all machines
Passwords on all users on all machines
Network discovery on on all machines
File and Printer sharing on on all machines
Password protected sharing on all machines
Items shared using Advanced sharing
all users included in sharing permissions
All users included in file access permissions

All the above must be in place for consistent networking

let me just clear soemthign here.
on all other machines which are xp. in the work group which is called home you see ALL systems and all of them them even the windows 7 system is accessable.

now go over into the windows 7 system, if you clikc on the full map you only see windows 7 which is active and another which you cant click on, and if you go into the work group its only the windows 7 system.

ive tried everythign and its stressing me out here. and always seems to be ruddy networking that always gets to me ...strange how that started with vista hmm.
