LAN Port Only Connecting At 10.0mbps Hi,
I have a Gigabyte motherboard gigabyte 890fxa-ud5 which I am using on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I have the latest drivers for the LAN ports but I am experiencing an issue with one of the LAN ports only connecting at 10.0mbps if I attempt to use the other LAN port on the motherboard this is connecting at 1gbs. The LAN port that is only connecting at 10.0mbps is only showing an orange light on the router and not green. I have removed the drivers and reinstalled, I have also tried different cables and the port only connects at 10.0mbps. I have the latest BIOS installed for the motherboard as well.
I would appreciate it if someone could please advise on what might be causing this to me it seems that there is an issue with the LAN port its self. | My System Specs |

If you go to the Network and Sharing center, and in the left pane click 'change adapter settings', then right-click the problem port and hit 'configure...' in the new window, there should be options to change the link speed and possibly (if it's an Intel-based NIC) self-diagnose any hardware problems. Hopefully that might help you out. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 |

Thanks for your response, I have tried this and the LAN port is refusing to connect beyond any speeds after 10.0mbps.
Do you have any other suggestions?

You might try clearing the cmos on that board then see if the light changes to green again. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |

Any further suggestions? Here is another person with the same board and same problem, seems to be a problem with the board. Ethernet Port Not Working
Hi,
Thats my thread I created last year when it stopped working. Gigabyte took the board back and flashed the BIOS again and concluded that it was working but its not working again. I guess the only other thing I can do is send it into them again? As the other LAN port connects fine at different speeds. | My System Specs | | OS WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 64BIT CPU amd 1090t 3.20ghz Motherboard gigabyte 890fxa-ud5 Memory G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-12800 CL7(7-8-7-24) Graphics Card MSI ATI 5850 OC 1GB Sound Card CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER GAMER EDTION Monitor(s) Displays SAMSUNG T240 Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Keyboard LOGITECH G15 Mouse LOGITECH G5 PSU CORSAIR 620HX Case ANTEC 300 GAMING CASE Cooling CPU COOLER CORSAIR CWCH50-1 Hard Drives Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB

With a three year warrantee I'd have to send it back again. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 |
