Resetting wireless network preferences

Hi, I am connected on a hotel's network at which I am staying. When I connected I opted to use the basic free connection type. Essentially I learned the speed is too slow and I should have choose to upgrade my wireless option to the quicker paid version. I have removed all settings from my browser, Chrome. I disconnected my wireless on my laptop and restarted windows. I can't figure out how to reset and have the option to upgrade wireless speed. I can go to the page but it just says you are connected no options to upgrade. I just need to reset my options.

Hopefully this makes sense to someone. Ha.

Thanks!

Hi johnnyO - The hotel front desk should be the most help - this seems as though it's specific to their network

It is their network - I think that they could tell you how to get to their paid intranet. Give them a call - tell them that you connected to the free internet, but it's too slow. Ask them how to connect to their paid internet.

You're probably right though - they might not be able to help with technical issues.

edit: just a thought. You might try clearing out your browsers cache.

I have tried removing my browsers cache.

Not sure how to remove wireless settings like this. You would think it would be self explanatory, but if computers really worked that way we wouldn't need forums like this I suppose...

I appreciate the help.

I meant all cached items, sorry I wasn't clear

Usually hotels provide a logon - they don't set anything on your machine, except for standard web stuff (cookies, images, cached pages, etc.)

If you go to the web page where it says that you're connected, look around for a log off link.

I'm afraid, that's about as much help as I can be.

Network card name reporting incorrectly in wireless network list area
My rig uses a Centrino Advanced-N 6230 wireless mini half-card. It reports the correct name except within the wireless network list. Instead of 6230 it reports 6320. I searched the registry to see if I could find the error, but nothing found. It's only a nuisance, and a minor one at that. ...
