Thats Good that you can connect to the router.

I had a brain fart and forgot to tell you to enter DNS settings.

In IPV4 properties listed above enter 2 of the following 3 IP addresses.
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
    192.168.2.1

First two are googles public DNS servers.
So the 8.8.8.8 and the 8.8.4.4 are for DNS, right? And I put the 192...as the the default gatewsy or the actual IP address? Just making sure.

your settings before had 192.168.2.1 as the DNS server. I'm guessing that your router/modem has a DNS server built into it. You can try with just the 192.168.2.1 Then if that doesnt work try with the google's dns to see if that resolves any issues.

Settings are exactly how you asked me to put them in. I couldnt ping for a short time but I restarted and it can do it again now; however, ipconfig still says the physical address is made of 0's.

This is what I'm looking at. The default gateway did not get set. Open IPV4 properties and set it to 192.168.2.1

Get a snippit shot of it too
