There is a setting with Teamviewer that you can do that or you can just use Home Sharing if both computers have Windows 7.
one has windows 7 the other has windows xp will it still work?

You can follow this to share between XP and 7 with Home Sharing, or you can use Teamviewer. Either work. If you don't want to use a program just follow the guide.

Home Sharing may be the more difficult one to set up, but it is the best bet. Teamviewer has to be up at all times and you need to know the user id and password.
