Laptop connected to home network, no internet access

I have 1 wired home computer, 1 laptop that connects wirelessly through the home network, and several ipods (kids) thay also connect wirelessly. Today my laptop says its connected to the home network but no internet access. I tried reseting the modem and router but no success. I try to troubleshoot and it says the firewall might be causing the problem so I disable it and no luck. The only other problem it finds is that the DNS server is not responding.

I connected it directly to the router with a cable and same results, DNS server not responding. I then connected directly to the modem and again DNS server not responding.
I checked the tcpip settings and ipv4 and ipv6 are all automatic. Even tried to connect to hotspot through phone with same results. DNS server not responding. Anyone know how to fix that? Thank you, Steve

Does anything else have any issue's connecting or just the laptop?

Have you flushed your dns cache

    start>cmd>ipconfig /flushdns

Try using a public dns like Google Public DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

Just the laptop has the problem, everything else is working.

Yes I have flushed the cache. Also tried ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew.

I have also tried the Google dns settings and it still says the same thing, dns server not responding.
