    Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration-error

Hi. I made a change to my network today and I'm having an issue with my desktop. I converted to a modem/router combo from TWC because of issues I have been having with my own router. All tablets and phones in the household are connected to the new wifi setup with no issues. My desktop however connects when I reboot the modem and then loses the connection, perhaps when the computer goes to sleep leaving me with the error message, "connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I'm assuming there is a simple fix? Thank you!!

Update to my issue. After posting this thread, some family members came over and I had them all attempt to connect their devices to our wifi. One person was able, two were not. I rebooted the modem and then I had trouble connecting. Long story short, I contacted TWC and they did a reset on the modem and everything has been working fine ever since, including my desktop. Seems were ok for now but I'm glad I joined the forum and will report back of any further issues. Thanks!!
