Windows 7: Can not see the local XP mashcine in network

Windows 7 starter (32bit)
Can not see the Windows XP PC from Win7 PC in home LAN

I am new to windows 7. I have the starter version preinstalled. I can not see the local XP maschine (running XP Home) which is my main desktop in LAN network.

I can see the two linux maschines in the network, but not XP maschine. There is a My->My folder/computer or something like that in the network but nothing shows up upon clicking on it. I need to be able to access it and transfer files from it as well as to use the printer i have connected to the XP maschine.
