    how to connect 2 pc with crossover cable?


    i want to connect 2 pc using crossover cable
    please give me a guide to how to do that
    my main point is gaming but also sharing
    i want to know how to connect them to be able to play multiplayer games using lan


    of course i'm using win 7 on both

    1. Create a crossover cable.
    Once side (orange/white, orange, green/white, blue, blue/white, green, brown/white,brown)
    Other side (green/white, green, Orange/white, blue, blue/white, Orange, brown/white, brown)

    2. Plug the crossover Cable into the machines.
    3. Configure IP address as static. (192.168.1.1 & 192.168.1.2) (or leave IP address as APIPA)
    4. Enjoy the connection.

    So these PC's will not be connected to the internet?

    i dont know what you mean by (orange/white, orange, green/white, blue, blue/white, green, brown/white,brown)
    but i have a normal crossover cable and 2 pc with windows 7
    i want to make a lan connection for following reasons:
    1-play multiplayer games
    2-sharing files nad folders
      My Computer
