Win 7 Home Premium- file sharing access denied

I'm attempting to access Quickbooks files that reside on one Windows 7 machine from another.

It's a Windows 7 Home Premium peer-to-peer network. I've got a working homegroup set up, but Quickbooks doesn't seem to recognize homegroups.

I'm using a username on the client computer that I've set up on the host computer with full read/write permissions. I've tried multiple usernames and rebooted both machines etc.

No matter what I do, while I can browse from the client computer to start/computer/network/<hostcomputername>/<thedatafolderIwant> I always get a return message saying I don't have permission to access that data.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!
