Unable to create a home network

I'm trying to create a home network between two computers connected to the same modem
The modem / router I have is HOTBOX HOT company
Two computers are connected using a cable and not through WIFI
Each computer Windows 7 Ultimate Revised
Two computers are on a home network

Any computer settings are the same settings (home or work):
- Turn on network discovery (active)
- Turn on file and printer sharing (active)
- Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders (on)
- Turn off password protected sharing
- Allow - WINDOWS manage the home team connections (active)

Network map looks like this:

The problem:
One of the computers I've created a group home and I go through the other computer screen there should be my option "Join Now" but that option does not exist, but says "There are

currently no homegroup on the network" and there I can create a group home (even though I opened the other computer then there is no need to open again )

What should I do please?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Lets reference the 2 computers as computer1 and computer2.

Lets call computer 1 the computer with the homegroup enabled, and computer2 the the computer to connect to the homegroup.

First look here to see if anything is setup incorrectly.
Homegroup - Add Computer or Join

This part is important:

DNS Client - Started and Automatic
Function Discovery Provider Host - Started and Manual
Function Discovery Resource Publication - Started and Automatic
HomeGroup Listener - Started and Manual
HomeGroup Provider - Started and Manual
Network List Service - Started and Manual
Peer Networking Grouping - Started and Manual
Server - Started and Automatic
SSDP Discovery - Started and Manual
UPnP Device Host - Started and Manual

If nothing in the configuration link help you please post the ipconfig /all of each computer referencing each computer.

IP Address - Locate and Find for Your Computer

Use option 2.

Check if Date & time is correct on both computers, wrong date and time also leads to this problem.
So check, correct that if needed and then try again.

As far as i tested, if any one computer is on home network, and then when u connect your lan cable to the another computer then u'll see it will automatically change to JOIN after few seconds. Whether you have static ip or automatically assigned ip in your second pc.

Even if it doesn't come up with JOIN, you can still access/share files between both computers if your password protected sharing is turned off.
Just create a new home group in the second computer too.
and open my computer and click on network in the left side panel.
