    event id 4001 help please


    hi guys,

    i have been getting this warning for ages now event id 4001 WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped.

    and i think its to do with my wireless card, i have disabled it from adapter. at least i think this is what it is. can anyone tell me how to stop the warnings all the time please?

    also i keeps getting this one as well event id 315 The print spooler failed to share printer HP Photosmart 2570 series with shared resource name HP Photosmart 2570 series. Error 2114. The printer cannot be used by others on the network. this is my printer but i do not have it connected all the time i pack it away when am not using it. is there away to stop this happening too please ?

    Are popup messages being displayed for these warnings?
    Or, are you looking in the Event Log and see them listed there?

    In that case i wouldn't worry about it or try to prevent these (or any) warnings or messages.
    I have many entries in my Event Logs similar to this.
    Windows is just logging info, and that info may help if there ever is a problem that needs troubleshooting.
    I think Win 7 does well at managing messages, logs, space used, etc. with the defaults.
    There's probably a way to set the max space used or delete history, but again, i don't see a need for that.
    Unless i have a space or performance problem, i just let windows 7 manage this...

    I'm no guru and this is just my experience / opinion...
    I've had Win 7 installed and running for ~3 years without something like this causing an issue.
