Windows 7: Cannot Connect to Printer. Error 0x0000007e

Hi,
I am unable to connect my computer with a Network printer in my organization. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium-64bit on my laptop. The problem here is, when I try to add a new printer as:

Devices and Printers> Add a Printer> Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
The wizard searches for a few seconds than my LAN automatically gets disconnected.

The other way round I've also tried to manually add the printer but it didn't work. It gives the error "Cannot Connect to Printer. Error 0x0000007e"

The printer in Network is RICOH Aficio 8001 PCL6.
I've tried to contact my IST department but they are saying that we are also unable to connect it with 64-bit operating system.
On another system I have 32 bit it is easily configured there.

Kindly help me on this.

Have you tried using the 64bit drivers, they can be obtained over here pal Aficio MP 6001/6001 SP/7001/7001 SP/8001/8001 SP/9001/9001 SP download page plus I see that there is a Network WIA driver available (2nd from bottom) ... maybe give these a try

These driver folder when extracted contain only .dll files and one inf file. But the problem is I am not even able to find my printer. I have tried to add the printer locally but there is nothing shown in the drop down list of the create a new port. except TCP/IP
