    internet connectivity with win7

    internet connectivity with win7

at the start of the day for me, my system fires right up but will not connect to the internet. i use a free program called net repair all in one v1.2 that gives me many options. i have tried them all and one seems to work. it is called "release and renew DHCP address" ...i do that and can always connect to the net. Net Adapter shows my public ip address, network adapter, local ip address, mac address, default gateway, dns servers, dhcp server, and subnet mask. i have taken snapshots of before and after and all are the same. so i really dont know what is going on as i cant see any changes. was hoping someone here with more knowledge can tell me. and is there a way to make a change that is permanent so i will always connect? thanks...clasof56

Why don't you try fixed Ip address?

How do you connect to the ISP?
    - Cable direct to a Modem?
    - Cable to a Router?
    - Wireless to a Router?

Is your network a DHCP client?

Please give us the images that Roy has asked.

    thanks

i seem to have muddled thru and got this situation fixed. i went in and changed to a static ip address and so far it seems to have allowed me to connect each time. thanks for the replies...as usual, win7 is fixable and like an old friend...just have to give it a hug once in a while...haha..
