How do I activate the Server Print Spooler on Laptop instead of PC
OK... here is my issue.. I can not print remotely with my laptop when my desktop is down but the printer is available.
Desktop – Window XP
Laptop – Window7
Linksys E3500 with Cisco VUSB for the printer
Printer – HP Photosmart C7200 Series
When I have the Desktop on, the network printer works for the Desktop and the Laptop.
When I shut down the Desktop the network printer appears available for the laptop but can not print.
The message I get is ....Server Print Spooler Services not running.
I can only assume that the Desktop is the Print Spooler server.
So how can I print from my laptop without the Desktop being on.
The techs at Cisco is pointing the finger at the OS.
