    sharing permissions

    HI
I've 4 computers connected through modem. File sharing is working properly for every one. Now i want to share with specific computers, not all.
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate. I'll try to do this but failed. Please guide me..

This can be accomplished by adding users to your computer and setting up NTFS permissions for them.

Depending on which version of windows 7 you have there are two ways to do this.

    Add Users Accounts

Use either step 1 or step 2. If you have professional, or ultimate then i would recommend step two.

Now leave your share properties to everyone with full control.

If every account you added is going to be able to access the same content then follow the next step if not then skip it.

Then in your NTFS premissions add the special identity authenticated users.
(anyone that can logon to your PC will have access to the folder.)

If you skipped the last step then you can also add the users that you created to a group and then give the group permissions to access the files.

You will need to specify permissions based on what you want the user to do.

    Side note:
If you setup the username and passwords the same for both computers then it will authenticate automatically.
