What is BEST way to network Win 7, iPAD, and Nexus 7 etc 'droids?
friends I need your advice on the best way to allow iPAD Mini to share files with Windows 7. The usual file types are in mind: a few [not that many] image files, a few videos [MP4] and the occasional pdf's and other miscellanei.
Secondarily and not as tricky - to do the same for several differing Android devices: Nexus 7, Galaxy handset [2, S4G] and others [stick tv, etc etc]
I've read good happy remarks about Serviio and Air Video [server, client] - those are more specifically written to do a good job of streaming, which is desirable but not the complete picture. I could use iCloud, Skydrive, Gdrive - and just manually work both ends toward the middle, but that feels clumsy to me, and does not do a good job streaming if one should want to do so.
Its enticing to think maybe there are just apps for the clients that would allow them membership in a main Homegroup, but I am wary... Homegroup has thrown me curves I couldn't solve in the best of circumstances with all-things-windows.
what have you found that just works?
The 7 in question would be my 'do it all' hp desktop, Windows 7 x64 Ultimate -
