Windows 7: How to sharing internet

I have a dial up internet connection and I want to share it between two pc that one of them has win 7 and the other one has win xp.I want win 7 share network for win xp.For that I went to sharing tab in the properties of my connection and enabled three checkbox and set my local area IP address to 192.168.0.1 and set win xp IP address to 192.168.0.2 .But when win 7 connect with that connection to net ,internet doesn't share for win xp.I did this work for two pc that has both win xp installed and it worked well.

How can share internet between win 7 and win xp?

How do you have the 2 pc's connected together?

it's very easy ,
the first you right- click local area network then you choose tab sharing check "allow other network user to....." then you selct home network connection "wirless "
the second you create add hoc , i think you know how do that
the third win xp connect adhoc on win 7

If you just have a network cable connecting 2 machines together using their network adapters said cable must be a crossover cable. Are you using a crossover cable?

Not necessarily true. Some Ethernet interfaces have built in Automatic MDIX Configuration which eliminates the need for crossover cables. I have been able to hook up my computers with cheap plain CAT cables because of that. However, if your computer is old, then it might not have automatic MDIX.
