Sharing folders and libraries does not work
I have a Win 7 Professional on my laptop and my PC and I want to share folders between them. They are connected to the same LAN network trough my T-Link router. They are on the same Workgroup and Homegroup.
When I share folders or drives from my PC I can see and access them on my laptop, no prob. I can copy/paste files, etc.
When I share folders on my laptop I can see them on my PC, but I cannot access them, throwing:
"Windows cannot access \\Laptop\Ext Hard\
You do not have permission to access \\Laptop\Ext Hard\. Contact your network administrator to request access."
When I share libraries on my laptop they just do not show when browsing the Homegroup from the PC. And I noticed when I go to Homegroup and Sharing Options on the laptop and check any of the libraries then click 'Save Changes', the changes are not saved and the next time I open it the library is still unchecked.
I've tried all standard procedures, but for now no luck. I am thinking maybe I have a Service disabled or a strange Firewall setting, so:
1. What are all Windows Services responsible for the proper operation of folder and/or library sharing so I can check if there are stopped/disabled ones?
2. Where else should I look for options to enable/disable to make this work?
