Help me to select a WiFi Adapter to my Desktop PC.
I have a 4 ports WiFi router (home router) and I connected it with my PC over the Ethernet cable. I distribute my ADSL connection with other devices through this router (wire+Wireless).
I want to connect my PC to that router via WI-Fi connection (yes yes, I already connected it with that router via Ethernet cable). So which type of WiFi adapter is best? I search on the Amazon.com (I don't like to use eBay) and there are several types of devices, so which one is the best. (I don't have networking knowledge, but I can configure those adapters with my devices). Who are the reputed manufactures?
According to my knowledge dual band WiFi adapters are the best for better connection speed. Am I correct?
I found this type of devices.
1). Micro Mini USB Adapter
2). USB Adapter
3). Dual Antenna Adapter
4). Ultra Mini USB Adapter
If i use this type of adapter, can I directly make a connection with my other devices without connecting my router (home router) for share files? For instance share images from WiFi enabled digital camera with my PC over the WiFi without connecting my home router? (Making a connection only with PC and camera)
I don't like to use a big device. I prefer small devices.
