Wireless crashes when multiple PC's are working

Hi there
I recently got a new laptop and I have problems with my home wireless network.
When both laptops are on and using the network (for browsing, no big data transfers) I'm experiencing big timeouts on one of the laptops (Always a different one). When the third PC is turned on the router even chrashes and needs o be restarted. Both lapops show that signal strength is excellent. The PC is connected via cable.
Is there any way to resolve this ? Switching wireless frequency or channel ?

Yes switching channels might help but you would need to know which channels are being used in your area in order to decide which channel to change too.

The Xirrus WiFi inspector is good for this. If you keep having problems please post a screen shot of Xirrus.

You may try resetting the router and re-configuring from scratch if this is an ADSL modem/router please have your isp details to hand such as PPoA or PPoE and username and password or static, bridged or routed connection details before attempting a reset.

Follow this guide on the reset when all the lights light up on the router indicates that the router has reset and can be re-configured.

How to Reset Your Wireless Router

If no change please try updating the firmware on the router using an ethernet cable connected from the ethernet port on your computer to one of the Lan ports on the router.

Please do not attempt a firmware update using a wireless connection or interrupt the update at all as this can brick the router.
