Internet not working and ipconfig problem

Hi windows 7 said I am connected to the Internet but I have limited activity. I've tried tons of things and nothing seemed to work. I even tried to reset winsock, didn't work. I did tons of things and nothing so I decided to create a help thread to see if anyone can assist me. Help is needed and greatly appreciated.

When I do ipconfig /renew and release I get

"The operation failed as no adaptor is in the state permissible for this operation,"

Also I get this when I do ipconfig /all

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

Nate123, it looks like your ethernet adapter is not active. You might want to check devices to see if you need the driver for your ethernet card installed?
under properties of my computer, devices and see if your ethernet card is showing up as valid.

Nate, and they don't show that they are not functioning?

Also. you do have an ethernet cable attached and active?

Sometimes, just removing the driver and then rebooting will allow it to be found and activated.

or it could have the power turned off via the system software turning it off for non-use.
