    Network Adapter


    Hi! i have a Acer TravelMate 5744. i recently upgraded my software to windows 7 professional but it doesn't allow me to log on to the internet because of the missing Network Adapter Drivers but i can't find them on the internet using a different PC and i can't even run an auto update course it can't go to the internet. if i go to the device manager...i can also see that i'm also missing drivers for Ethernet Controller, Network Controller drivers please help it's be 2 days looking for these drivers over the internet i can find all kind of Acer Models but i can't find the one that i am using also tried different kind of drivers and still nothing

    Hi Mafilolo, You can download the drivers from here Acer Support: Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook, Ultrabook / TravelMate / TravelMate 5744 also while downloading the network adaptors ,download the chipset driver and reinstall that win 7 only puts the basic chipset drivers on

    Hi Pebbly thankx for the reply at the moment i am at that site i can see the Chipset Drivers but not network drivers as well as the other controller drivers i.e Ethernet and Network..i just tried loading the chipset and the Wireless LAN but still nothing so i'll just reload the windows again thankx for the advce

    Hi Mafilolo, There are 3 wireless lan drivers and 1 lan driver on the site , The chipset driver controls the ethernet chip on the motherboard , not knowing which of the wireless drivers are in your laptop I would suggest you try all 3 ! also install the ordinary lan driver :)

    Hi Pebbly i have re-installed Windows 7 Professional then the drivers as u suggested but still i have the same problem, i don't mean to neg/bother u with my problem but if you can help how do i know if my Network Adapter is still working course i have tried but it keep saying i am missing Network Adapter drivers but not if it's working or not

    Hi Mafilolo, Can you get on the internet from your laptop ? In device manager ,on the network adaptors is there a Yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside ? if so right click on it and select update drivers
    Which of the lan drivers did you install? did you also install the ordinary lan driver are yoou running the install in admin mode ? :)

    Direct link to your chipset driver: CHIPSET

    Download and install it, then reboot.

    After reboot download and install the LAN (Network Controller) driver, here's the direct download link: LAN
