You are going to have to provide much more detail if you want help i.e. system info, router, how connected together etc and what problem you are having with them, thanks...

So, let me get this straight - you are connecting to someone else's wireless signal in the same building and because it is not password protected it does not ask you for anything it just connects you to the internet - right ? and now it has stopped working - right ? i.e. you can connect to his network but the internet no longer works - right ?

Let me know if this is what you are seeing.

Lol. Are you able to connect to any other wifi's to test its not your laptop.

To be honest you shouldn't really be on his WIFI anyway.

It sounds as though the person who owns the internet connection that you've been using has realised this fact and has beefed up their security. Is it asking for a password where there was previously none? If this is the case, there is nothing that we can do, as we will not assist in circumventing such protection.

Best thing to do is speak with the person that owns the Internet Connection you are trying to use.
