How to remove a network place from Win 7

After a totally frustrating afternoon trying to get a NEW Android based phone to sync with my win 7 Pro Outlook...Without success...I ended up with an extra network connection in control panel\all control panel items\network and sharing center as in the attached jpg.

My original setting was local area connection 2...How do I delete the 'new' network connection - "work network" - and get back to Local Area Connection 2 as the default connection ?

    Thanks...TiminAz

Click on Work Network and in the resulting window, select Home Network, see if that does it.

just thinking about you outlook /phone sync problem,

is it possible if you have a windows live hotmail account you can sync outlook to that and then have the live hotmail account sync to your phone,

not tried it,just putting it out there as a possible workaround
maybe someone has this set up and can confirm if it will work

Thanks guys...Britton30's suggestion didn't work...doesn't seem to matter what type of network is chosen...boohbah's will work but there are huge security issues best I can tell

Pretty detailed previous searches on the Android/Outlook syncing issues revealed:

    1) Android based systems by design will only sync directly with Google Mail...Google Calendar...etc. You can 'double' sync via boohbah's idea...but seems to be two issues with this approach...a) may not work smoothly and some data may not make it though correctly to Outlook, and b) these operations are apparently via the Cloud...and thus these records are subject to very real security risks

I'm in real estate and routinely send/receive via email sensitive personal information from my clients like SS#'s, mortgage Accounts, contracts, financial info...etc

    2) Now let me say I know nothing about the "Cloud"...but have read a multitude of warnings about using it working with confidential/sensitive information. Pics-Videos-Music...works great...confidential personal information is highly subject to retrieval and misuse.

Have used my Blackberry previously which has much, much better security than Androids by far...but....the Blackberry is very limited re media use...social networking...audio/visual etc compared to the Android based phones.

Found one program via Samsung site that can sync with Outlook...Kies - Kies - Sync Media, Contacts & Calendars Across All Devices | Samsung - but it will not connect...so far. Thus the attempts to fiddle with the Network settings.

Any other ideas on getting rid of the new Home Network or Work Network....or how to remove the old Local Area Network Connection 2 which is no longer the active internet connection ?

    Thanks...TiminAz
