Is my router dying ?

Hi Folks,
for the past few days, my page loading time was very very slow. I tried the usual to clear Firefox including flushing DNS cache and rebooting my router. I then shutdown my pc & router, moved the ethernet cable to another port on my router, restarted it, waited till it was fully loaded then started my pc. This worked perfectly as i'm now back to normal.
My Laptop was not affected at anytime. Any suggestions ?

quite often rebooting the router will sort out slow connection,
or it could have been the isp had issues their end,
i regularly have to reboot the router, this is even after they sent a replacement for the same issue.

Please clarify how your laptop was connected when you came to that conclusion. When the desktop slowed, did you do a speed test via the laptop and WiFi to check the ISP. Or did you hard wire the laptop to the router?

Laptop connected wirelessly. Never thought trying a speed test.

A hard reset might get that port working again.
