Windows 7 64bit will not connect to the internet
Here is one that i have not been able to figure out at all. Now i am not a tech. by any means but i get by. I have a home built computer with an amd quad core and 4 gigs of ram. That being said i opted for vista 64 bit and had no end of trouble trying to get a linksys wireless usb adapter to work finally i purchased a belkin n wireless adapter and it worked kind of, it would drop randomly. I then tried WIndows 7 thinking all my trouble running a 64 bit system are a history, not so.
Hardware: Belkin wireless n adapter F8053 ver 4,WRT54G Linksys,Vonage phone adapter Motorola VT2142.
Now the problem. For a couple days i got the Internet to work with windows 7 then it just suddenly stopped. I says connected but no Internet access and a few time in the troubleshooter it says unable to communicate with dns server. I have found that when i have the vonage box unplugged windows 7 works great, i am typing on my windows 7 comp now tirelessly. But as soon as i plug my vonage box into the router my wireless will not connect to the Internet.
I plug the vonage into the router in the network jacks my connection goes wall---modem---wireless router with vonage box plugged into this and then my computers are connecter wireless.
One thing to throw into the mix i have a windows xp laptop and it can connect to the Internet at any time no matter what i have plugged into the router.
I have been pulling my hair what little i have of it out for a few days any help is very much appreciated.
