No printer installed when executing excel through rundll32
I am facing a printer issue that is happening on one of my customer desktop (a windows 7 32bits with UAC). The application I am developing (java desktop) calls rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler file.xls to open Excel files. This works well, except that no printer is defined when Excel is launched this way.
However, when my application is launched with 'run as an administrator', the printer is present.
If I run the command rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler file.xls from a DOS console, the printer is present, even if the windows account is not administrator. The printer is a USB, directly connected to the desktop (RICOH CL3100).
Any idea on why the printer is hidden when the command is ran from java without admin elevation?
