Windows 7: FTP Connection gets dropped

FTP Connection gets dropped

I have a Dell T7500 Running Windows 7 Professional.

This computer is connected via FTP to a CNC machine control. The machine control is 'drip fed' programs via this FTP connection because the files are too large to put completely into the controls memory. With XP this was setup and working fine. I set the timeout to the equivalent of approximately 15 days... or (1,315,000 seconds)

With Windows 7 I have the FTP site configured and I can send programs to the CNC control. So the connection is working in that regard. As long as the programs don't run longer than 20 minutes or so it's fine. If they run longer than that the connection is dropped and the machine stops.

Is there a way in IIS7.5 to make a connection 'permanent'? I have tried setting the Control Channel time out and Data Channel time out to a higher value as I did in XP but that does not seem to have any impact on it.

Do I need to purchase some kind of "keep Alive" software to make this happen?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
