Remote Log off

in Btec lelve 3 I.T. we are doing comptuer systems and leran that you can remotly log of comptuer a comptuer using CMD

How i would i do this
if i had two laptop on running Xp the onw i want to trun off and one running windows 7 the i wnat to trun it of from
both connected to the same router on the same work group

So you want to do it from win7? You want to shutdown winxp or only logoff the user?
