How do I set up a password for my ROUTER?

    ROUTER. Not a Wi-fi.

What's the make and model of the router? Did you buy it or was it provided by your ISP? Each router manufacturer usually has a different way to set a password.

I wasn't able to find any Vivatel routers on the internet. And the closest reference I could find to a company named Vivatel that might have something to do with the internet was this:

    About Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC)
Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) is the main telecommunication services operator in Bulgaria, employing over 12,000 professionals. BTC has 2.5 million fixed-line subscribers and a growing number of mobile customers to its GSM operator, vivatel.

Unless the router came with an owner's manual I'm afraid I have nothing else to offer.

Yup. That's mine. So, what are the steps? I still need to put up a password to not let people use my internet again. 90$ telephone bill wasn't fun.

And a side note: BTK and Vivatel merged together in one company. So, it's actually Vivacom.

Most routers are also wireless transceivers. If you don't use wireless, you need to ensure that it is turned off in the router (I know you said you didn't use Wi-Fi, but if it is enabled on your router then others can still leech your connection if the signal is strong enough). You might also care to remove the antenna(s). This is relatively easy, as it/they simply unscrew. Check your router manual for further information.

It's raining heavy snow outside. People can have a full signal of my internet from the next street. >_>

What do you mean? Connect to the internet with my phone? I just search for available Wi-fi and I find mine... the only one without password. .-.
And that this thread didn't help a lot. xP

We need the full model number of the router in order to give you specific guidance. This information should be found on a label affixed somewhere on the router (usually underneath).
