Lost Internet Connectivity, and more issues.
I have a couple of windows 7 networking issues, and questions.
1. I keep losing my internet connection at random, windows still shows I am connected to the network (with internet access). When I try and pull up a page I get nothing (on all 4 browsers). I am connected to the internet via a wireless adapter. I have tried 3 different network cards and I lose the internet with all 3 of them. I have also tried sharing my network connection out to another pc via ethernet cable. the weird thing is I can still get internet on the second (coming from shared connection) when I lose internet on the sharing machine. I have also checked and as near as I can tell its not a firewall issue (I am only using the windows firewall).
2. I have my files set to be password protected on the network. but I would also like to access them on a machine that does not have a user account with my same name and password. in the past with other versions of windows I remember it would ask for a username and password, I cannot get it to do that with my Windows 7 machine, it just says access denied.
