Wake On Lan Itel 82579v onboard LAN
Hello im wondering if the great guys who help here are still active as i come to this forum and the advice is always great so i thought i would register with my dilema.
I have an ASUS sabertooth Z77 board with onboard intel 82579v LAN
Im trying to achieve WOL from S5 power off state, although no other power states will work either.
I have forwarded the ports to the router, even have a WOL monitor running and the network recieves the magic packet, but the PC does not.
Have set the bios to enable WOL from PCi/PCie
Have set the network adapter to WOL from magic packet
Have done all i can think off but it just seems it will not wake from from sleep, hibernate or shutdown.
Im wondering if any of you guys can help before i go out and buy an intel CT 100/1000 NIC as these tend to be reliable more so than onboard.
