Redirected "My Documents" folder, on shared network drive - can't see

    Hi all,

I'm having a weird issue with one computer here.
The "My Documents" folder is redirected to a shared network drive. Other people can access the files in that folder and edit them.

The weird thing is that the "local copy" of the file does not seem to match the one the other users on the network can see.

For example, I have this Excel spreadsheet. Another user on the network made a change to the file. In my documents, the file size and modification date do not match the new state, and if I open the file, it does not contain the changes. Everybody else on the network sees the changes just fine.

If I make changes to the file, the others cannot see them, however they do see ".tmp" files, which I don't see on my machine.

I have turned offline availability off, to try and make sure there is no local cache of the file, I have tried "sync-ing" the folder, restarted my machine... all to no avail
Seems to me there is a different copy somewhere but I can't find it.

There is no "My Documents" folder left under "c:\Users\<MyUsername>\". We are on a workgroup (as opposed to a domain).

    Any pointers welcome!

    Thanks,

    Bourgui

OK, I removed then re-instated the folder redirection and everything seems to be working again.

Would love to know what happened, but I really don't have the tie to investigate the matter further...
