lol thank you!

Now you tell me though. haha

I took a wireless adapter out because I wanted further range. I soldered an old tv antenna to it in an attempt that I knew probably would be of no use. Then fired up NetStumbler and it's saying the card was not compatible...and I'm like, yes it is! I used it on XP to do this.

I quickly put it down without looking further into it. Thank you.

Excellent guide for everyone...i should post this link on my Hotmail profile.
You have no idea how many of my friends could use a good read up like this.
I review my settings every second or third day just in case I have to make any changes and/or configure ports, or adjust my routers time clock, which seems to change once in awhile, but overall i love my D-Link router even though complex, but worthy of a few minutes of my time.

Thank you Brink.

Excellent guide - many thanks!

My home setup involves CAT-5 cable and wireless through a D-Link router. So the examples fit perfectly!

Excellent guide Mickey, I have actually had issues with my router from day one and this is always a big help when I run into a snag. I actually had a rather nasty incident recently at a coffee shop where someone there was trying to hack my computer (gotta love public networks), anyway my firewall didn't catch it but luckily hotspot shield did, gotta love freeware!

err, thanks DenverDreamz, and welcome to sevenforums,

i didn't write the guide - it is the work of the legendary Brink.

he has an unfair advantage when it comes to writing guides, as he has access to extra-terrestrial technology.

Nar, I didn't write it either. It's just a reference to a article at the link on the bottom of the first post.
