How to stop unwanted remote access

My wife's laptop is being remotely accessed several times an hour from all over the world. Tried to figure if it was from Skype, Tango or some other program. They are coming in through port 41590 which I blocked all inbound traffic on through Windows firewall but my router log still shows activity there??? At a loss

Some times it takes a while when other members don't know the answer you are looking for. Here is a Thread to read through that might help.
A lot of things can cause this problem. Such as instant messenger, P2P, Torrents or a infection. I have no idea what Skype and Tango use for ports but that is a possibility.

One place, for a start, is Home of Gibson Research Corporation and go to the ShieldsUp! section. You can do a scan to see the status of the port in question on your system and also check your upnp status.
